THE BRIEF
This Manchester based software company has call centres across the globe. We were tasked with designing a cutting-edge call centre for their new offices in the Umhlanga Arch building. The brief called for an industrial aesthetic
THE DESIGN
We designed a functional space with emphasis on the breath-taking ocean views over Umhlanga Rocks. The space planning was an imperative part of the of design to ensure effective employee collaboration and negotiation. A canteen slash chill zone had to be incorporated to boost staff morale in their down time.
THE FIT OUT
We began work on a white box and project managed all aspects of the fit-out. Apart from HVAC, all supplies, materials and furniture where supplied, delivered and installed by HDF Group. As per usual, part of the process was providing technical drawings and installation shop drawings to installers, contractors and the like. We were faced with several challenges at the time relating to Covid regulations, noise regulations and access control. However, we overcame these hurdles with sass and still brought a gob-smacking space to the table, on time and on budget!
